Keynote Speaking
We speak at a range of conferences, seminars and dinners, often delivering a keynote speech. I say we but Will speaks at many more events than the rest of us, he really does enjoy sharing valuable advice and embedding it by way of a mix of funny and not so funny anecdotes. It is something he really enjoys. Apparently the silver hair is indicative of many, too many according to him, years of accumulated wisdom that he likes to share.
For example
The following examples by no means cover all that we do. Please contact us to discuss how we can help with your event.
"Procurement in the global marketplace - opportunities and challenges"
IPSA and CIPS Annual Pan-African Conference - Johannesburg, 20 & 21 May 2008
400 delegates at this important strategic procurement conference, from all areas of Africa, listened to Will's keynote speech about how to maintain and benefit from excellent supplier relationships.
"Successful supplier relationships and how to avoid them!"
CIPS RME (Regional Member Events) - 2008
Will has spoken at events in February and May to deliver his well worn (oops - I mean very interesting) keynote presentation to a mixed audience of about 100 delegates.
"It's not just about cost . . . it's about strategic relevance"
CIPS Australia (Melbourne) October 2007
This stimulating keynote speech was rated the most interesting and relevant of the day by an audience of 560 people.
CIPS Fellows Question Time
September 2007
At an exclusive question time event for CIPS Fellows Will followed in the footsteps of Jonathan Dimbleby. Will chaired a prestigious panel responding to questions from the audience (notice how I didn't say answering questions, as not all did). This included Sir John Bourne, Chairman of the National Audit Office, Sir Leigh Lewis, Parliamentary Private Secretary for the Department of Work and Pensions, and Captain Lloyd Cromwell Griffiths, Director of Operations for British Airways.
"Successful supplier relationships and how to avoid them!"
September 2007 - COUP (Conference on University Purchasing)
This keynote speech achieved the highest satisfaction ratings from delegates'. Will also delivered a separate seminar-come-workshop on "Risk assessment and continuity planning - how purchasing can get involved".
After Dinner
January 2007 - CIPS Fellows Annual Lecture
Speaking as the Chairman of the CIPS Fellowship Selection Panel, Will's after-dinner speech went down a storm with the 70 CIPS Fellows.
"Efficiency - how does the private sector see it?"
September 2006 - LCSG Annual Conference - London
This 2006 annual London Contract and Supplies Group conference was themed "Achieving the Outcomes of Gershon". In his keynote speech Will spoke about collaboration and its difficulties.
"How to buy procurement training"
Annual Conference 2005 - Central Buying Consortium
A key speech to an audience of several hundred procurement specialists from the 17 authorities which make up the CBC.
